    This book took me by surprise, it was better than I thought it would be. I liked the story, it was different than most romance novels. I really liked Shane but Grace got on my nerves a few times. I can't wait to know what happens next!

    This is not my usually type of book but it pulled me in from the beginning. I didn’t put it down until I was finished and I am dying to read the complete series and see what happens next. My heart feels broken for Grace and Shane!

    It was a slow start. The fact that this was a type of paranormal romance was completely lost and kinda confusing throughout the book. It was almost like an after thought. After reading the end, it made quite a bit more sense and I'd love to finish the series!
  • The execution ruined the story

    Fall From Grace was a paranormal romance about an angel named Selah who took on the human body of Grace. This was book one in a three book series. The main characters were Shane and Grace with several minor characters. The execution of the story was confusing since Christine didn't explain from the beginning about Grace being Selah, the angel. Not until the end does Christine explain the other paranormal characters: Gabriel, Selah, and Shamsiel, and their importance in the story. These three characters were the driving force of the story, yet Christine chose to focus on the tattooed bad boy rock star known as Shane. It was an odd blend to the story. I found the push and pull between Shane and Grace annoying especially when Shane wasn't the only male character drawn to Grace. Shane's character was constantly scrutinized for being a chic magnet which as it states he was a tattooist bad boy, yet Grace's character found this unappealing. I found Grace unappealing with her judgements. Normally I'm a fan of Christine's books, but this story wasn't up to par. Considering this was written in 2012 and my first read by Christine was Brutually Beautiful written in 2013 I'd say the year between stories was enough growth for a better read. I hate giving Christine a low rating, however I must be honest by saying this didn't hold my interest.
